Rajesh Rajilal is a London-based film director and producer, and the founder of RFPI – Raj Film Productions Int. Over more than twenty years he has worked on British, Hollywood and Indian productions, from Elizabeth: The Golden Age and Casino Royale to Namastey London and London Dreams.
Biography
Rajesh Rajilal started out as a film runner in the UK and worked his way through almost every department: editing, casting, camera, production management and directing. Early in his career he assisted director Shekhar Kapur on Elizabeth: The Golden Age, and worked with the late director Jagmohan Mundhra on Provoked: A True Story. He has also worked alongside Kabir Bedi and composer A. R. Rahman.
He holds a degree in Computer Science and a CCNA networking certification. That technical background shapes the AI-assisted animation and post-production work at RFPI today.
Through Raj Film Productions he built a casting and production-services business across the UK, Mauritius, France, Belgium and India, supporting visiting productions with talent, production office, editing and transport. As founder and director of the RFPI group, Rajesh Rajilal now develops his own films as a director, casts and mentors new talent, and trains newcomers to media production. He is available to travel for productions worldwide.
